We read Cebu Pacific's official help page on CEB TravelSure on 28 October 2026. Here's what it covers by country, how to add it, how refunds and claims work, and when a standalone policy might suit you better. Note: only use Cebu Pacific's own help center for this. What CEB TravelSure is
Cebu Pacific's help page calls CEB TravelSure its official travel insurance add-on. It's optional. It's underwritten by Chubb Travel Insurance, and Chubb handles your concerns about the policy, including claims, changes and refunds.
As of our check, it's available for flights in five countries: the Philippines, Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The help page's summary of what it can cover:
- Emergency medical treatment for accidents while traveling in the Philippines or Asia.
- Personal accident insurance.
- Flight cancellation up to the flight cost, for Thailand and Vietnam only.
- Compensation for lost or damaged baggage, for the Philippines and Australia only.
What it covers, country by country
The cover isn't the same everywhere. It depends on where your flight starts. Here's what the help page lists for each country, as of 28 October 2026.
| Country | Main benefits listed |
|---|---|
| Philippines | Emergency medical treatment for an incident or sickness during travel; personal accident up to PHP 2,500,000; baggage loss up to PHP 100,000 and damaged baggage in transit up to PHP 20,000 |
| Singapore | Personal accident up to SGD 100,000; medical expenses up to SGD 50,000; flight cancellation up to the flight cost; 24-hour emergency assistance |
| Thailand | Personal accident up to THB 1,500,000; medical expenses up to THB 200,000; flight cancellation up to the flight cost; 24-hour emergency assistance |
| Vietnam | Personal accident up to VND 210 million; flight cancellation up to flight cost (max VND 10 million); flight delays up to VND 1.2 million; 24-hour travel and medical emergency assistance |
| Australia | Separate return trip and one-way products; for return trips, luggage and travel documents up to AUD 5,000, delay accommodation up to AUD 1,000 total, overseas medical up to AUD 500,000 |
For the Philippines, the help page says Chubb is Cebu Pacific's insurance partner for flights from and within the Philippines, and that coverage and premiums may vary depending on origin. For full details, it points you to the terms and conditions.
How much is CEB TravelSure?
The help page doesn't list a fixed price. It describes the Philippine product as Basic Protection "for a minimal fee" and says premiums may vary depending on origin. You'll see the actual price on the add-ons page when you book or in Manage Booking. We don't list a figure because we couldn't read one on the official page.
How to add it
When booking:
- Book your flight in the Cebu Pacific app.
- On the add-ons page, tap CEB TravelSure.
- Pay for your flight.
After booking, through Manage Booking:
- Log in to your MyCebuPacific account and tap My Bookings.
- Find your booking and tap Manage. If it isn't there, add it to your account first.
- Under Modify flight, tap Manage add-ons.
- Tap the CEB TravelSure add-on and pay.
The help page says you can add it through Manage Booking in the app up to 2 hours before your flight, and that you need a MyCebuPacific account to do this.
Infants, rebooking and refunds
Infants. The help page says infants are automatically covered if other guests in the booking have CEB TravelSure. If you add an infant later through Manage Booking, contact Chubb to include the infant in the cover.
Rebooking. If you rebook a flight that has CEB TravelSure, tell Chubb about the change. The help page says the cover may be carried over to rebooked flights on the same route. Otherwise, the insurance is forfeited.
Refunds. You can ask for a refund of the add-on if you haven't departed and haven't made a claim, or if your flight has been disrupted. You request it through Chubb's Self-Service Portal or Chubb's customer service. Chubb cancels the policy and passes the refund request to Cebu Pacific. The help page reminds you that refunding the premium means you lose the cover for your trip.
Claims
The help page says you file a claim online at Chubb's Claim Centre, and make changes to your policy through Chubb's Self-Service Portal. Chubb's Philippine customer service line is listed on the help page. Have your CEB TravelSure confirmation number ready.
For medical emergencies, the help page lists separate Chubb assistance numbers per country. Those numbers are only for emergency assistance, not for refund questions. Save the right one for your trip before you fly.
General claim tips from our claim guide apply here too: keep receipts, get a property irregularity report from the airline for baggage problems, and ask hospitals for a medical report and itemized bill.
Exclusions to know about
The help page only gives full exclusions for the Australian product, and points to the terms and conditions for the rest. For Australia, it lists these as examples of key exclusions:
- Baggage delay on the leg of the flight that returns you home.
- Costs if you don't tell the airline about delayed or missing luggage, or don't get a luggage incident report from them.
- Valuables or money left unattended in a vehicle.
- Valuables or money inside checked baggage in the hold of a plane, ship, bus or train.
These are for the Australian product only, but they're a useful reminder for any policy. Report baggage problems at the airport before you leave, and keep gadgets, cash and jewelry in your hand-carry. For Philippine flights, read the terms and conditions linked from the help page before you buy.
CEB TravelSure vs a standalone policy
CEB TravelSure is convenient, and it's tied to your Cebu Pacific trip. A standalone travel insurance policy is bought separately and covers the whole trip regardless of airline. Here's how to think about it.
CEB TravelSure may be enough when:
- You're on a short domestic or nearby trip on Cebu Pacific.
- You mainly want accident and baggage cover for that flight.
- You'd rather handle everything in the airline app.
A standalone policy may fit better when:
- You're flying to a country outside the five covered origins, or mixing airlines.
- You need a Schengen visa. Some embassies only accept insurers on their own list. See our Schengen guide.
- You want a specific medical limit, cashless hospital help or cover for activities.
- You're older or have a medical condition and want to check age and pre-existing rules closely.
For comparison, GCash listed Standard Travel Protect International at P350 per trip in Asia, and Oona listed International Travel from P299 for a 5-day trip, both as of 28 October 2026. For domestic trips, GCash listed Travel Saver Plus at P103 per trip and Oona listed Domestic Travel at P266. See our cost guide and domestic travel insurance guide.
