Our guides exist to help you understand travel insurance and make your own decision. This is how we write them.
Sources and dates
- Every guide lists its sources, with the date each one was last checked.
- We prefer official sources: regulators, government agencies, embassies and the provider's own terms.
- Every guide shows when it was first published and when it was last updated.
What we do not do
- We do not publish live prices or quotes, and we do not rank products by who pays us.
- We do not ask for, store or pass on personal details.
- We do not let partners review or approve what we write.
Money and independence
Some links may be affiliate links. They are marked as sponsored and disclosed on the page. How we earn is set out in our affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
If we find a mistake we fix it, update the date and, where the change matters, say what changed. Corrections by post can be sent to the address on our About page.
